The ADO GROUP confirms the trust deposited in LANDER with another simulator

The ADO GROUP is stepping up operations in Mexico, and will be adding a new simulator in addition to the unit purchased by the company in December 2015. This confirms the group's focus on new technology as a means to professionalise its drivers and train them in road safety, and there can be no doubt it also confirms the trust deposited in LANDER as technology partner.

The excellent results obtained from the original simulator paved the way towards this second purchase.

The first simulator was carried through by the ADO Group's General Management, and gradually various data demonstrated that the initiative was bearing its fruits as expected. Between January and June 2017, 88 buses were withdrawn from refresher training courses, thereby saving money on the costs of diesel and bus downtime. The ratio between simulator training and real vehicle training for new drivers was 30% simulator and 70% real vehicle. This reduced sessions with the real bus from 18 days to 15, meaning 16 buses were not used for training each day.

Senior ADO staff report that the simulator is an essential component of learning how to drive efficiently. There remains the challenge of continuing to improve training in order to guarantee safety in all operations.

The new simulator will have the ground-breaking ECOSAFETY tool, for practice in boosting fuel performance, safe and preventive driving. It will also feature ten new vehicles by leading manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Scania, among others.

We wish to congratulate the ADO GROUP for its work on continuous improvement, and offer our most sincere thanks for the trust placed in LANDER.
