Emirates Transport to revolutionise driving with simulators

Several years ago, as part of LANDER's Middle East operations, we entered into a relationship with federal company Emirates Transport in the United Arab Emirates. ET has an extensive catalogue of transport-related services in the country, ranging from management of school buses, taxis and car and limousine rentals to heavy goods vehicles, maintenance of all types of vehicles and, naturally, training for drivers, working closely alongside the Dubai RTA and the Abu Dhabi DOT.

As part of its training activities, two years ago Emirates Transport set up the ETDI (Emirates Transport Driving Institute) to provide backup for its transport services, with the intention of establishing a key driver training centre. LANDER entered into relations with the ETDI shortly after the centre had been created, whereupon we gained a first-hand insight into the major innovative focus and care taken in terms of quality and attention to detail conveyed by Emirates Transport and the ETDI in all their services and all their decisions.

After several months ascertaining the EDTI's needs, including a trip by its representatives Bader Al Attar and Abdalla Abdelrahman to San Sebastián, in April this year Emirates Transport confirmed a LANDER car simulator consignment to reflect the reality of the cities of Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, which will be installed in a mobile system to be taken all over the country by the ETDI.

Thanks to this project, and most especially the mobile solution required by the ETDI, the Emirates company can take its innovative vision and a major commitment to transport safety farther afield.
