In our industrialised world, ever-obsessed with maximum efficiency, there has also been a rebirth of the desire to return to genuine human values. Advances in technology should be geared to improving quality of life in general.  Thinking about people and facilitating access to such beneficial training for society form part of Lander’s foundations.

In 2002, an initiative emerged from the Centre for Studies and Technical Research of Guipuzcoa, (CEIT) and CAF to create a joint project. CEIT contributed its extensive knowledge of the use of technology in the field of simulation and CAF added its in-depth knowledge of the rail sector. At a later stage, the ESM Institute for Research into Safety and Human Factors brought a direct focus on the educational and training component of the simulation system. Lander was founded as a result of this union, and it is the first Spanish company to manufacture simulators specifically for civilian use.

While the applications for simulators in the military market have already been solved, in the civilian market Lander noticed that there was a big shortage of simulation services requiring attention.

The Lander foundation represents something totally new, both due to its exclusive orientation towards the civilian market and due to the actual business objective: to place within reach of any civilian company everything that was exclusively reserved for aviation, aerospace and military industry.
