LANDER MULTI-PURPOSE SYSTEM REPRESENTS A COMPLETELY NEW CONCEPT IN THE WORLD OF TRAINING WITH SIMULATION. ITS MANY ADVANTAGES MEAN THAT ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT OBJECTIVES IS FULFILLED: SIGNIFICANTLY FACILITATING THE TRAINING OF OPERATORS.
The exhaustive planning of each project gives each Lander Multi-Purpose System it individual nature. Based on a global concept our engineers develop solutions to satisfy our customers’ specific requirements and individual needs. Each necessary detail is customised so that the final result responds perfectly to the customer’s training needs.
No specifically built space is required for its installation, either; any office is perfectly suitable. As a whole it comprises one instructor station connected up to three independent training stations. This enables several students to train at the same time thanks to the automatic assessment of the sessions, thereby simplifying the work of the instructor to a great extent. Furthermore, one single training station can simulate different units. The change from one simulated unit to another takes place in an instant. Fast, simple and without tools.
The scope of Lander Multi-Purpose System compared to a conventional full-mission simulator is exactly the same. The results obtained during the training process are identical.
All elements combine to respond to the instructor's needs at all times. For example, the training stations can be turned off and on by remote control, so they do not even have an on switch. The system provides a high degree of functionality; the instructor can give several sessions at the same time and adapt the training programme individually to each student. Configuring and programming the exercises is very easy and intuitive.
The instructor station comprises five screens; three screens to monitor the students’ controls and layout of the desks, one screen to monitor the scenario and another screen for the global management and control of the system. The instructor also has a communication system with the student and a camera which allows him to observe the student in the driving position.
The training station, or desk, is devised to provide easy and comfortable training, with a high degree of immersion. It basically comprises three touch screens, a panel with real controls, a real seat and a large screen on which the exercise in progress is projected. By correctly combining the real controls, virtual controls and virtual panels a training station can simulate several units.
To change from one unit to another it is not necessary to change the entire desk. The advantages are obvious: it is very comfortable and quick, there are no maintenance problems and there is no need for prior preparation.
Unit change
The change from one unit to another is carried out instantly, without any tools. The control panel of the touch screens changes and the physical control panel is customised by means of extrapolated controls and the magnet system that conceals the controls that are not being used by the simulated unit.
Attention to each student
Lander Multi-Purpose System is devised to adapt to the needs of each individual to improve their knowledge. The simulator is capable of recording the activity of each of the operators and it also offers the possibility to easily adapt the training programme to each operator.
Help for the instructor
The Assessment Mode which the instructor station has is a significant novelty on the market. It makes it possible to identify and classify human errors according to internationally recognised methods, safely detecting the training needs on an individual basis and facilitating the planning of safe training for the operators.
Simultaneous sessions
Up to three students can train at the same time because the system makes the instructor’s work a lot easier. The simultaneous sessions are completely individualised so each student can train on a different unit or in a different setting. The system is capable of detecting and recording errors and incidents during the sessions. The monitoring of the activity of each student is complete.
Reproduction of the sessions
An important part of the training is the possibility of both the instructor and the student being able to study in detail each of the movements made during the session. All of the sessions are recorded and can be played back at any time via a user-friendly interface which is the equivalent of a DVD player.
Training programme
The review of the training plan is a natural part of the implementation process of a Lander simulation system. When the customer installs the simulator he must adapt his training plan. Lander takes part in this process thanks to the knowledge provided by one of our founding partners, ESM.

Everything is designed for uncomplicated daily use. Lander has made a great deal of effort in this sense, with the collaboration and advice of the best experts in design and usability. As a result we have managed to offer a simple and intuitive system in which users, whether they are the student or the instructor, complete their tasks intuitively and with ease.
Impeccable finish
From the selection of light but resistant and long-lasting materials to the clean exterior and extremely minimised wiring, all aspects of the final product are designed to achieve long-lasting quality. The whole system is switched on and off by pushing one single button. Furthermore, for safety, all machines are protected by UPS, uninterruptible power supplies.
Installation
The Lander Multi-Purpose System does not require a space to be specifically built for its installation. Thanks to its design and the use of light materials in its manufacture, it can be installed in any office. It is designed in such a way that all the elements are easily unassembled and because of their dimensions they fit through any standard door.
