A dual boost for the LANDER Project Manager team

LANDER is pleased to announce the engagement of two new employees to boost the solid Project Manager team headed up by LANDER's Technical Manager Jon Ares.

LANDER's expansion over the last two years and new projects in new countries have made it necessary to enhance this team in particular, to enable it to continue to provide the LANDER guarantee of quality and hard work on each new project undertaken with each customer.

Project Managers become key components whenever a new project is awarded. They take responsibility for a successful project, meeting requisites in relation to quality, timelines and technical specifications, among other concerns.

Alex Hernández and Ander Salsamendi, both professional engineers, have been working in the same capacity with the same firm for some weeks now, but they also have more in common than one might initially think.

Ander hails from Azpeitia, a beautiful town in Guipúzcoa famous for the Loyola Sanctuary or the Basque Railway Museum. Alex, on the other hand, is from Donostia. Nevertheless, both of them have considerable experience in managing international projects. This has taken them to a number of countries such as the US and Europe, most especially Germany, and also Asia or Latin America, on long-stay projects in many cases.

Ander started work with the engineering firm INGEMAT, a specialist in car part assembly lines, after a number of years living in Hamburg. Alex has been in charge of automatic production lines for the timber sector, construction and automotive at BIELE. Both of them have worked as project managers over the last four years, and they are now entering the world of simulation together.

But that's not all they have in common! They are both avid football enthusiasts. They are huge fans of Real Sociedad, and are also keen on other sports. Alex, in fact, recently hung up his boots after playing football for a number of years.

They are now fully integrated at LANDER, and are working alongside project directors with a wealth of experience at the company such as Alejandro Villanueva and Jon Mir, among others. They are all involved in two strategic LANDER projects - a police car driving simulator for the Thuringia force in Germany, and the driving simulator for the UK's Docklands Light Rail.

We extend a hearty welcome to both of them, and wish them every success with LANDER.
