Emirates Driving Company leads change on Abu Dhabi's roads

More than 10 years ago, LANDER Simulation took the firm decision to serve all markets in the Arab Gulf. Such a decision requires many things, among others patience and commitment. The maturation process from the moment an activity is launched in a new geographical area is long and requires a lot of work, especially for highly complex technological projects and products. First the region has to get to know the product; second, understand its potential advantages; and third, accept it and start integrating it into the usual ways of functioning and working.

That is why, as we mentioned above, patience and commitment are so important to stay true to the initial idea and achieve the original objectives. It is this patience and commitment that makes even potential customers who are leaders in their sectors take notice and place their trust in these new solutions or technologies that can improve their business and make it safer and more efficient.

This is fortunately what happened to us at LANDER about a year ago: the undisputed leader in driver training in Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates, Emirates Driving Company (EDC), granted LANDER and our partner Al Shahem its trust over Christmas 2021 in the form of two key projects for its strategy: the first, the supply of 5 motorcycle simulators for training of the growing number of users of these vehicles in the region (mainly for delivery tasks); the second, the supply of 6 light and heavy vehicle simulators for driver training at a public entity in the country.

For both projects, EDC, Al Shahem and LANDER worked closely together to simulate areas of Abu Dhabi city, to create specific exercises to enable EDC to deliver highly efficient training and to adapt the equipment to the intense use that Emirates Driving Company intends to make of it. We shouldn’t forget that EDC operates virtually 24 hours a day and welcomes more than 100,000 students a year to its impressive facilities in Abu Dhabi and the rest of the country's Emirates.

All the simulators were installed before the end of 2022 and have been fully operational since then, cared for by Emirates Driving Company's extensive team of professionals, which is not only a leader in training, but also has a strong background in the use of driving simulators.

We would like to thank Emirates Driving Company for its leadership and continued commitment to improving training, and therefore transport conditions, in Emirates and for its ongoing commitment to the use of advanced technologies such as simulators. We also thank Al Shahem for their support and commitment in Abu Dhabi, where they are a key part of LANDER's success.

Let's look forward to more successes and to continuing our establishment in the Arab Gulf together!
