LANDER SIMBIO HAS BEEN DESIGNED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LATEST KNOWLEDGE IN FUNCTION AND DESIGN, AND SHOWS LANDER’S SKILL AS A MANUFACTURER.
Gradually, companies and Administrations have realised the possibilities offered by the new training tools. Thanks to advances in these new technologies, today we can talk of Lander Simbio. It is the final result of the adaptation of the Lander Tutor product for generalised use on the market.
Lander Simbio has the same training capacities as Tutor. Amongst its qualities we must highlight its simple, user-friendly, intuitive and complete interface. It is easy to create, edit, execute and assess countless operations in very varied weather conditions, with different levels of traffic, state of the road, etc. It has the option to include a large amount of incidents and faults to satisfy the maximum requirements of professionals in the sector. From there on, there are only advantages. It includes a series of features which make it unique in the market. Its design is based on reducing everything down to a functional level, doing away with the details that are unnecessary for training. Thanks to the optimisation of the use of new technologies, the production costs have significantly been reduced, and therefore the final price of the product.
Its innovative hardware has all of the features to offer training that responds perfectly to drivers training needs. It does not require a specially built area to be installed. Because of its small dimensions any office can be perfectly valid.

The scenarios and routes are very varied and have been defined to generate realistic training situations. The scenarios contain urban and inter-urban roads and motorways. They reproduce as realistically as possible weather and visibility conditions: rain, snow, wind, fog, luminosity, time of day, etc. Apart from all of this, the surroundings have realistic pedestrians and traffic which make the surroundings completely real for the driver.

The system is capable of reproducing the driving of different models of vehicles. It has a wide range of configuration possibilities for each of them: the type of gear box, the engine power, the charge level and its layout, the state of the tyres, vehicles equipped with ABS, ASR etc.

The autonomy for automatic assessment of sessions, complete monitoring of the activity of students and the recording of sessions make it possible to study each of the movements made during the session in detail. All of the sessions are recorded and can be played back at any time via a user-friendly interface which is the equivalent of a DVD player.

The system simulates a wide range of incidents and faults that drivers normally have to cope with on the roads, situations that create risks both to the driver and those who surround him. From obstacles on the road to emergency traffic situations, from unforeseen pedestrian crossing to vehicles which do not respect the signals, vehicles that ignore right of way, pedestrians etc. Students learn to diagnose the problem and respond accordingly.

Training with Lander Simbio makes it possible to successfully achieve and surpass the levels of qualification required of professional drivers in European Directive 2003/59/CE and in Royal Decree 1032/2007, on the professional training skills demanded of lorry and bus drivers. More information.

Operational costs directly related to driving activity are extremely high. Fuel consumption is the first that comes to mind but we cannot forget tyres, brakes, clutch, etc that vary significantly with driving habits. On top of that, insurance costs and inactivity due to maintenance operations are also important costs related with driving activity. Efficient driving courses can save a lot of money beyond just fuel consumption.

Bus rapid transit systems (BRT) constitute a solution to transportation problems in many cities around the world. Lander has developed a product adapted to BRT specific operational conditions.

The Lander Simbio does not require a specifically built space for its installation, or one that is excessively big; 30 square metres suffice. Thanks to its design and the use of light materials in its manufacture, it can be installed in any office. It is designed in such a way that all the elements are easily unassembled and because of their dimensions they fit through any standard door.
