Mexico City’s STE takes a bold step toward the future of transportation with new trolleybus simulators
We are pleased to announce that the Servicio de Transportes Eléctricos (STE) of Mexico City has officially inaugurated its two trolleybus simulators, in collaboration wih Yutong, reaffirming its commitment to technological innovation.
STE: A pioneering public urban transport service in staff training
With this addition, STE establishes itself as a pioneer in operator training in Mexico City, becoming the first public transport agency in Mexico to have simulators for both light rail and trolleybuses. This strengthens its commitment to electromobility and professional service development.
The trolleybus, which runs on exclusive lanes powered by overhead wires, is a key component of sustainable mobility in Mexico City. Currently, STE operates multiple lines that transport thousands of people daily, contributing to a cleaner and more efficient city.
The trolleybus simulators
The new simulators accurately replicate the new 12- and 18-meter articulated trolleybus units from the Yutong brand. Thanks to their specific control panels, operators can train in a highly realistic virtual environment that faithfully reproduces the vehicle’s behavior and dynamics. Additionally, they allow for the simulation of various weather conditions, as well as breakdowns and incidents, offering top-tier training.
The incorporation of these simulators represents not only a technological advancement but also a firm commitment to safer and more efficient transportation. STE is driving a new era in operator training, based on excellence and innovation.
Just like them, if you want to be part of the change, we’re ready to help you. The future is something we design together.
