Second simulation project in Indonesia: we consolidate our partnership with MRT Jakarta
LANDER has recently completed the installation of four simulators for MRT Jakarta, consolidating its second project in Indonesia after the delivery for LRT Jabodebek in 2021. MRT Jakarta, inaugurated in 2019, is the Indonesian capital's metro system and is part of the country's bid to improve urban mobility and alleviate traffic congestion.
In 2023, MRT Jakarta opted to incorporate simulation technology as a key tool to reinforce the training of new drivers and active staff. As a result, four simulators have recently been installed, two of them in replica cabin format, with the aim of improving the quality of training and integrating them in a structured way into the entity's training plan. These simulators make it possible to recreate operational situations and adverse scenarios typical of the local context, thus offering more realistic training in line with the conditions that drivers will encounter on the real train.
The project covers the 16 km of line corresponding to Phase 1. Phase 2, currently under construction and divided into two sub-phases (2A and 2B), will extend the network towards the north of the city.
The entire journey that LANDER is making in Indonesia would not be possible without the support of its local partner, PT Multiintegra. Their collaboration has been essential to facilitate our establishment in the country and to carry out projects such as MRT Jakarta. We maintain a close relationship that has been consolidated over the years.
We would like to thank MRT Jakarta once again for the trust placed in us. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in the future, extending the scope of the simulation to new phases of the network and exploring together new functionalities and environments within railway training.
