The Australian emergency services continue to rely on driving simulators

The Canberra emergency services in Australia rely on simulation to train their drivers.

A few weeks ago we announced that FRNSW (the NSW fire brigade) in Australia would incorporate Lander driving simulators to train their drivers, and this week we can announce a new project in the country.

ESA, the fire brigade in the ACT in Australia, has decided to create a simulation centre and incorporate simulators for the training of its officers. Thanks to this simulation system, ESA will be able to train its drivers to successfully carry out the essential tasks they perform on a daily basis and to do so in the safest possible conditions.

As with FRNSW in Sydney, the simulator will have scenarios adapted to Australia and will allow exercises to be freely designed by incorporating specific situations that emergency drivers face. In addition, ESA will offer simulations for both light vehicles (ambulances, 4x4s, etc.) and heavy vehicles with two training stations. The simulator will incorporate eye tracking technology that will allow the driver's gaze to be monitored for a more complete driving analysis and evaluation.

This project is a new step forward for Lander in expanding our presence in the Australian market and consolidating our position in the country. We thank ESA for the trust they place in us, and we hope to reciprocate by making the simulator they envisioned a reality.
