The Buenos Aires police force unveils its new LANDER simulators

The Governor of the City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, accompanied by Vice-Governor, Diego Santilli, and the Minister of Justice and Security, Martín Ocampo, presented three brand new driving simulators featuring hardware and software specially tailored to the needs of the police force. The simulators accurately replicate specific traffic scenarios and are a high value added tool for training police agents in the Argentine capital.

The company awarded the public contract, BUCCELLO Y ASOCIADOS – a leading company in the realm of public and private security in the Southern Cone, with over 30 years of experience – chose LANDER as its trusted partner in developing the simulators and in doing so all but guaranteed their success while forging a winning alliance between both companies.

The simulated vehicles are a Ford Focus police car, a Peugeot 408, and also a Kawasaki Versys 650 motorcycle. According to Rodríguez Larreta, the new recently acquired simulators feel exactly as if you are driving the actual vehicle and allow users to practise special situations such as ambushes or pursuits, thus massively increasing the quality and value of the training.

The project to make cutting-edge simulation technology part of its training process is a key part of the Integral Security Plan of the Buenos Aires police force. The ultimate aim is to give police agents the readiness and skills needed for them to protect the public and deftly handle any risk situation they may face while going about their work.

At LANDER we are proud to be part of this initiative of the Government of Buenos Aires alongside our partner BUCCELLO Y ASOCIADOS and together we will help the Argentine police force serve the population with the utmost security and safety.
