CPTM adds new training simulators to its fleet

The São Paulo Metropolitan Trains Company (CPTM) opened on August 8 its new rail simulators for training and retraining drivers and workers in the area of operations.

With this new acquisition, there are now eight training simulators that CPTM has developed with Lander Simulation, in a close technological collaboration relationship that dates back to before 2011, the date on which the Brazilian company acquired its first units. This time the equipment is made up of two multi-purpose simulators with an instructor seat.

CPTM has not only expanded its fleet of simulators, but has also managed to perfectly adapt their equipment -together with Lander- to the new needs that the company has. Changes in signalling, the addition of new train simulator units or adding more miles of tracks reflect the value of the flexibility of the equipment developed in recent years.
