LANDER drives the modernization of Mexico City's Metro with state-of-the-art simulators
The STC: A Pillar of Mass Transit in Mexico City
Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro System (STC) is one of the most important in the city, spanning 18.8 km and connecting strategic points between Pantitlán and Observatorio. With thousands of daily passengers, this line is essential for urban mobility and the quality of life of millions of people.
As part of the comprehensive modernization project, new technologies have been incorporated to improve efficiency, safety, and the user experience.
Simulators for Operator and Traffic Controller Training
LANDER has completed the installation of four driving simulators and two traffic control simulators designed for training operators of the new NM22 trains that will run on the renewed Line 1. These simulators provide a highly realistic environment that replicates, among other things:
- The controls and systems of NM22 trains
- The CBTC signaling system
- Operational failures and incidents
Thanks to this technology, drivers can train in safe and controlled conditions, acquiring the skills needed to handle any situation.
Commitment to Modernization and Safety
At LANDER, we are proud to contribute our technology to a project that benefits millions of users. Training with simulators of this caliber ensures that drivers can face any scenario safely and efficiently.
With this initiative, the Metro reaffirms its commitment to staff professionalization, safety, and urban transport efficiency, consolidating Mexico City as the Capital of Transformation and Line 1 as a benchmark for technological modernization in mass mobility.
